Tet is the most important period for Vietnamese. Tet Nguyen Dan, or Tet for short, is considered the biggest and most popular festival of the year in Vietnam. Tet is the occasion for Vietnamese to express their respect and remembrance for their ancestors as well as welcoming the New Year with their beloved family members . Whenever Tet comes, from anywhere, the children are looking forward to return and reunion with their family. Every family will get together to have big meals, decorate Tet trees and eat Tet food. Modern life, with its artificial rush and commercial struggle for existence, Vietnamese people, especially young people, have no longer retained many cultural traditions in Tet. To increase the awareness of people in preserving the culture of Tet in the old days, Vietnamese designers have launched the unique poster to welcome the new year.
Ministry poster was inspired by representative objects, often seen in the new year as peach, apricot, five - fruit tray, stuffed sticky rice cakes, lion dances and fireworks.
The first thing is drawing the idea on the paper and painting the figure in watercolor. Agency spends 12 days completing the product set include a paper poster, a ivitation cardsinvitation and packaging. The idea of the font is chose from the decades 70-80.
They decided to take banana leaves as the material for the invitation. Because this familiar image is a part of the Vietnamese culture.
The final stage is to create this innovative poster with paper folding art. The poster can become a meaningful New Year gift for everyone, reminiscent of the rustic and serene beauty of Tet in the old days.
